Much of the information on each page is hidden except for date and place. You can click on "Expand all" in the upper right hand corner to open up all the information, or on the left side you can click the down triangle to see that specific event.

In the family section, the children are hidden. Click the down triangle to reveal them. You can click on a name, and you will be taken to their page.

• Abt - About - The same as circa. The actual date is probably plus or minus 5. The date is base on a source, or if a marriage date, it is set to age 20, or a year before the first born child.
• Est - Estimate - Same as "About", however these are mainly used for burial dates to ensure that the web event and last review are at the end. It is generally set to two days after death.
• Say - Pure Guess - Guess to help keep the sort correct. Don't quote me!

Following genealogical convention, all married women are recorded using their maiden names.

The eternal questions among genealogists is whether to use the original place name or the modern place name. Some places have many different names and connections over the years. My solution is to use the original place names for New World locations, and the modern place names for Old World Locations. I am in progress on setting this standard. There will be a few exceptions for historical clarity. The Byzantine emperors will rule from Constantinople rather than Istanbul.
